On Thursday, December 5, 2024, I attended the project presentation day for our BCIT students, who joined us as part of Industry Sponsored Student Projects - ISSP. Over three months, we developed an MVP of our YUTH app, an educational platform for youth wellbeing.

This is my first time visiting a campus as a business partner, and the feeling is extraordinary.
The faculty were super welcoming and actually seemed pretty excited about what our organization does. The students came up to chat with so much energy - they couldn't wait to talk about our project. It was kind of wild to think about how different this felt from my student days - now I'm the one showing them the ropes!
You know what's cool about these school-industry team-ups? Everyone wins! The students get to work on real stuff (not just textbook examples), and we get fresh ideas and new ways of looking at things. It's like a high-five between schools and companies that helps new grads step into their careers. Pretty amazing how these connections can make such a difference for everyone involved!
And, I was a proud business founder!
