Job Summary:

RainbowVI Educational Association is seeking a UI/UX Designer to enhance our MVP web app and improve the digital experience for our users. As a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through free educational resources, we are looking for someone passionate about user-centered design and social impact. You will play a key role in redesigning our platform, ensuring accessibility, usability, and an engaging user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct UX research, including user interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis.
  • Perform a heuristic evaluation and identify usability issues on the current website.
  • Develop user personas, customer journey maps, and user flows to guide design improvements.
  • Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
  • Develop and maintain style guides to ensure consistency in UI elements, colors, typography, and branding.
  • Conduct usability testing, analyze user feedback, and iterate on designs accordingly.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design elements.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to validate UI consistency and responsive design across devices.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor user behavior and propose data-driven improvements post-launch.
  • Document UI/UX design decisions and provide recommendations for future enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven trained as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio of web app design projects.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility, and usability best practices.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and front-end development collaboration is a plus.
  • Ability to conduct and analyze user research and usability testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with developers in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Hotjar, or other user tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.

Work Hours

8 Hours/Day, 2-3 Days/Week
