Social Media team
The Social Media Team at RainbowVI Educational Association creates and manages digital content to engage our youth audience and promote our mission. This team is responsible for developing and posting content, growing our online presence, and fostering community engagement.
Expectations:
- Create and schedule engaging content (posts, videos, graphics).
- Manage social media accounts and respond to interactions.
- Develop campaigns to promote courses and initiatives.
- Keep consistent branding.
- Track engagement metrics and suggest improvements.
Team members should be creative, proactive, and aligned with RainbowVI’s mission to provide free, impactful learning for youth.
RainbowVI Social Media Team Training Plan (one month)
Objective: Equip team members with the skills and knowledge to manage social media effectively, align content with RainbowVI’s mission, and engage our audience.
Week 1: Introduction & Strategy
- Overview of RainbowVI’s mission, vision, and target audience
- Social media goals and branding guidelines
- Platform overview (Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
✅ Outcome: Team members create a mock social media post that aligns with RainbowVI’s mission and branding.
Week 2: Content Creation & Scheduling
- Basics of writing engaging captions
- Designing graphics using Canva or other tools
- Video editing for short-form content
- Scheduling posts using a content calendar
✅ Outcome: Each team member designs a post (graphic, caption, and hashtags) and schedules it in the content calendar.
Week 3: Engagement & Community Building
- Best practices for responding to comments/messages
- Encouraging interaction (polls, Q&As, challenges)
- Collaborating with other organizations and influencers
✅ Outcome: Team members draft responses to sample comments/messages and suggest an interactive post (poll, Q&A, or challenge).
Week 4: Analytics & Improvement
- Tracking performance (reach, engagement, growth)
- Understanding social media insights
- Adjusting strategy based on data
✅ Outcome: Team members analyze a past post’s performance using engagement metrics and suggest improvements for future content.
