Job Summary:
RainbowVI Educational Association is seeking a UI/UX Designer to enhance our MVP web app and improve the digital experience for our users. As a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through free educational resources, we are looking for someone passionate about user-centered design and social impact. You will play a key role in redesigning our platform, ensuring accessibility, usability, and an engaging user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct UX research, including user interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis.
- Perform a heuristic evaluation and identify usability issues on the current website.
- Develop user personas, customer journey maps, and user flows to guide design improvements.
- Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
- Develop and maintain style guides to ensure consistency in UI elements, colors, typography, and branding.
- Conduct usability testing, analyze user feedback, and iterate on designs accordingly.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design elements.
- Perform quality assurance checks to validate UI consistency and responsive design across devices.
- Use analytics tools to monitor user behavior and propose data-driven improvements post-launch.
- Document UI/UX design decisions and provide recommendations for future enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven trained as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio of web app design projects.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility, and usability best practices.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and front-end development collaboration is a plus.
- Ability to conduct and analyze user research and usability testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with developers in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Hotjar, or other user tracking tools.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
Work Hours
8 Hours/Day, 2-3 Days/Week
