Reviewed board meeting frequency: Board was comfortable with the meeting frequency (once per quarter), and everyone can keep in touch via Whatsapp group chat.
New year’s term: Board member will decide if they wish to continue with the organization and notify the chair. Vi shared that Alex would not be continuing due to personal commitments. New board members may be recruited if needed.
Reviewed Q3’s activities and visions for next year:

Implemented an accounting software to manage expenses.
Shifted focus from funding to program building and collaboration, focusing on running more bootcamps and building a community for alumni and volunteers through Discord.
Shift in objectives and organizational growth: Patricia acknowledged Vi’s shift in focus from funding to collaboration and suggested reviewing the original objectives to see how the new direction aligns with what they initially wanted to achieve.
UBC collaboration: Vi shared a potential collaboration with a UBC researcher for a community fund where the organization would be a partner in a project focusing on the needs and well-being of youth. The collaboration would involve the UBC team securing the fund and conducting interviews with youth during the boot camps . If approved, the work would start next summer.
Initiative for Community Engagement and Image: Vi shared a plan to pilot a new comic series with original characters
Commitment to Continuation and Personal Well-being: Vi shared the decision to continue running the organization, citing success in performing the work without significant funding, and a personal desire to contribute to the community.
Future planning: Jessica sought a vote on Vi's vision for next year, Jessica and Soyeon were supportive of the vision, including waiting for the UBC outcome and seeing the comic series. The board unanimously approved the vision.
